Call for abstracts

The call to submit abstracts of papers for LatinCorr 2018 is open. The deadline for these submissions will be March 15th, 2018.


Between March 15, 2018 and May 15, 2018 a Committee of Experts will evaluate the presentations to be incorporated in the preliminary schedule of the Congress.


From the above mentioned date the authors will receive the approvals of the submitted abstracts and must present the complete work on the date that will be June 15, 2018.

Main Topics

NACE suggests the following topics (not exclusive) to be addressed by the authors in their presentations. Having your paper selected to be part of the presentations schedule will allow you to forward your career and contribute to the development of the scientific and technological community associated with corrosion control.

The Congress is oriented to research studies and/or technological developments in the following areas:

  • Corrosion in the nuclear industry
  • Corrosion in the Oil & Gas production and transportation processes
  • Corrosion in the chemical and petrochemical industry
  • Atmospheric corrosion
  • Corrosion in reinforced concrete

  • Corrosion mechanisms. Modeling and prediction
  • Microbiological corrosion
  • Environmentally induced cracking
  • Corrosion control: inhibition, cathodic protection, coatings
  • Equipment integrity and corrosion


Proposals for papers must meet the following guidelines to be correctly evaluated and approved. Adherence to these guidelines will facilitate the work of evaluators and will help expedite the process of acceptance. Thank you for following the following requirements.

Requirements for ABSTRACTS:

They must be written in English, in the following format:

  • Title (Arial 13 bold)
  • Authors, with details of affiliation, address, and email (Arial 11)
  • The author who should be contacted must be underlined
  • Description of the goals and results of the paper (max. 150-200 words) (Arial 11)
  • Keywords: do not include trade names among keywords (Arial 11)
